Description
Escape to this romantic retreat based in the grounds of an old farm building on the outskirts of Llandeilo. This quaint, little market town has a plethora of independent shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy during your stay. It also hosts plenty of events, such as The Festival of Senses, which take place throughout the year. The town borders the Brecon Beacons National Park, perfect for the avid walkers, including the highest peak in South Wales Pen y Fan. The county town of Carmarthen is 15 miles away and the Gower peninsula can be reached within 20 miles, for a day out at the beach or to explore the miles of Welsh coastline. As you enter this secluded cottage, you will be welcomed into the open plan kitchen/diner. The kitchen is equipped with all you could need to rustle up a simple supper or a hearty breakfast to start your day. There is a gas oven and hob, a fridge/freezer and a microwave available to you. The dining table sits two comfortably; enjoy a dinner here or simply sit around the table with a coffee and plan out your next adventure. On the first floor, you will find most of your living space. There is a comfortable seating area nestled around a cosy wood burner effect electric fire, plus a smart TV to stream all your favourite programmes and films. There is an additional day bed to the rear of the lounge which can be used as extra seating, a cosy reading nook or can be utilized for an additional guest on request. The bedroom has a double bed and ample storage for your clothing and belongings. Completing the first floor is a functional shower room with WC, perfect to freshen up quickly after a day out walking through the countryside. The gardens that surround this cottage are truly spectacular. Explore the acres of grounds that the owners are happy to share with their guests. There is a woodland grove, fields, established floral gardens, an allotment of homegrown produce and walks along the stream. Get lost in the romantic gardens take a picnic and sit out on one of the many benches hidden away in different corners of these fantastic grounds. You will also have access to gym facilities in one of the converted outbuildings, plus there is stabling available for one horse on request. There is a courtyard in the immediate vicinity of the cottage with parking for two cars or a horsebox if necessary. This property has a private water supply. Need to know: 1 bedroom double. 1 shower room with shower and WC. Gas oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Welcome pack including homegrown produce. Smart TV in the lounge.
