After parking in the handy off-road parking space or adjacent ‘on road’ parking, take a moment to relish the sea air as you make your way into this stunning property. Immediately upon entering Tanavalla , you will be dazzled by the grand hallway with its luxurious chandelier and décor representing the Georgian period. Continue through to a elegant sitting room adorned with deep bay windows flooding the space with natural light and exquisite seating, as you catch up with your loved ones about your beachfront escapades. The kitchen is a surprisingly contemporary spot, nicely contrasting the rest of the apartment, with fabulous granite worktops and fittings home to all the appliances needed to rustle up those culinary delights. Enjoy dining in the stunning dining room, with historic accents and a quirky serving hatch.The family bathroom can also be found on this floor, the space has been tiled and fitted to a high standard with a fantastic bath with a rainhead shower. When night falls, venture to bed in the close-by super-king-size bedroom, a spacious room boasting an iron bed and vanity, along with ample storage, a king-size is located further down the corridor and beholds views over the pretty garden and lovely floral accents. Descend the stairs to the basement to find two more well-presented bedrooms, one being an appealing super-king-size with abundant space and pink décor; the family room is situated across the way and is the perfect space for the kids to sleep with a small double and bunk bed, as well as vibrant patterns and colours enhancing the room. The sunny back garden is a superb spot for the kids to play as it is secure and boasts a lush lawn, and a charcoal BBQ is provided as an alternative to eating in. Your amenities are extremely close, giving you everything you need at your fingertips; a short walk will bring you to the Ramsgate’s ‘picture postcard’ marina and port, the only Royal Harbour in the country, and two sandy beaches, one each side of the port. Ramsgate enjoys two wonderfully maintained Victorian promenades, to the West, your stroll will take you past the town’s four croquet lawns and bowls greens, both open to the public and Government Acre, a beautiful open space that often features visiting attractions, amusement rides and fayres at weekends, and to the East, your promenade walk will take you to one of the towns’ vast public parks which features a daytime café and famous Italianate Greenhouse, which sells cream teas for most of the year. At sea level, you will find the entrance to the famous Ramsgate tunnels, a vast 2.5 miles of tunnels under the town, which gave shelter to the 20,000 town’s folk during WW2, guided tours can be booked throughout out the year. Ramsgate is the pearl in the crown of east Kent and Thanet and The Royal Harbour is surrounded by places of historic interest, cafes, wine bars, restaurants and antique shops. The historic Arches and ‘end of quay’ Brasserie, are a particularly attraction, all within a short walk from your apartment at Tannavalla. Closer still, you have the very popular Ellington Park, immediately opposite your front door, ideal for walking the dog, or allowing young children to let off steam safely, the park has a newly refurbished bandstand with frequent musical events and a miniature railway during the summer. There is so much to do in Ramsgate, but if you wish to travel further afield, be sure to visit the sandy seaside resort of Broadstairs, only a 2 mile walk along the beach, at low tide, or 5 mins in the car, it provides a very enjoyable place for young children, with all the beach attractions they like. Alternatively venture into Margate, only a few miles away, where the kids will be thrilled by an afternoon spent at Dreamland Margate, or tour the acclaimed Turner Contemporary Art gallery with its eye-catching pieces, before a visit to the town's underground seaside history in the town’s Shell Grotto, not forgetting Margate’s renowned sandy beach. Between the three main towns and only a few miles from Tanavalla, you will find a variety of wonderfully picturesque and sandy beaches at Botany Bay, Kingsgate Bay, Joss Bay and Stone Bay, all very popular with children and adults alike, and for the more erudite members of your group, there is a variety of local interests to visit, just 3 miles away you will find Richborough, the English Heritage site where the Romans first landed in Britain and built their first town. Ramsgate’s St Augustines Abbey houses the remains of the first Archbishop of Canterbury and Putin’s house, both open to the public all year round. A little further, a day out can be enjoyed at Dover castle, Canterbury Cathedral, the Chaucer’s Tales living museum or an evening at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury. For the more active, bicycles can be hired at the Royal Harbour to follow the cycle track around the Isle of Thanet, or maybe a round of golf on one of the many courses within a few miles of Ramsgate is more to your liking. There are sub aqua courses available from the Harbour and nearby Pegwell Bay, which hosts international competitions, is ideal for both wind and kite surfers.
