Fort William, the ’outdoor capital of the UK’, Nevis Range Ski Centre and the world championship mountain bike track are close by and the area is renowned for its spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife. Take a trip on the Jacobite steam train as seen in the Harry Potter movie, visit stunning castles and gardens, sail to the beautiful island of Mull, spend a day exploring the Ardnamurchan Peninsula or just take a leisurely walk along the banks of the canal. For the outdoor enthusiast climbing, walking, skiing, mountain biking, fishing, golf, horse riding and various watersports are available locally. Spean Bridge is home to a nine hole golf course and a small village shop. Inverness, Loch Ness, Aviemore and the Isle of Skye are easily accessible. Shop and pub 3½ miles, restaurant 2½ miles.
