The area was once a thriving tin mining area, visible today by its many engine houses dotted around the coastline, including the famous Crown Mines and Geevor Mine open to the public with museum, shop and mine trips. Take an open top bus ride to appreciate the stunning scenery, visit nearby Pendeen Light House or the beautiful rugged Cape Cornwall with its dramatic coastline and coastal pathways. For golfers there is Cape Cornwall Golf Club. Nearby St Just with its busy square provides an array of local shops including butchers, bakers, fresh veg, deli, supermarket, PO, numerous art and craft shops, local art galleries, 3 pubs (all serving food), café’s and tea rooms.
