Duckpool and Sandymouth are the nearest beaches, 2½ miles away approached through attractive tree lined roads. Tamar Lake, Bude Golf Course, riding stables and surfing are all within easy reach. The nearest village with shops and pubs serving food is Kilkhampton, 2 miles away. The coastal town of Bude has supermarkets plus a range of individual shops, bistros, cafés, restaurants and pubs, and is 6 miles away. The old part of the town has a wonderful beach and seapool, golf course, tennis courts and bowls. The canal is connected to the harbour and is controlled by its massive lock gate.
