Bow Cottage lies in the ancient town of Fordwich, known as the smallest town in Great Britain and is a comfortable terraced holiday cottage which has been renovated to a very good standard, retaining stone clad walls. The front-facing living room boasts a feature bow window and woodburner, and the galley-style kitchen, which has tiled floors, leads into the dining room with patio doors opening on to a patio. This is a great location for walks directly from Fordwich and the outlying area, for exploring, and for sampling the local ales in one of the two local pubs. Explore the historic city of Canterbury with its magnificent cathedral, learn about Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales or take a boat trip on the River Stour. Cycle the Crab and Winkle Way, visit the coast at Herne Bay or spot a seal and sample the oysters at Whitstable, 12 miles. Another enjoyable experience is to go back in time and explore the castles of Dover, Deal and Walmer. Good train connections to London. Shop ¼ mile, pubs/restaurants 100 yards. Free WiFi
