Tucked away down a quiet country lane, nestling by the church and virtually surrounded by its owner’s meadows, Church Cottage is in a little conservation village with a commanding view over nearly an acre of lawned gardens running down to the River Bure. A more peaceful setting is hard to imagine with the landscape almost unchanged since the days when the Norwich School of Painters used to stay in the village and capture idyllic scenes from the meandering waterways. Visitors are able to fish from the garden and from the owner’s meadows. Miles of riverside and country lane walks can be enjoyed straight from the drive gateway. Church Cottage is situated between the Broads and the North Norfolk coast in a superb setting. It is a family house which has been recently lovingly renovated to E.T.C ‘4 Star’ standards to form an exceptional country holiday cottage. The coast and the Broads are readily accessible. The fine old city of Norwich is 12 miles away with one of England’s best shopping centres and a great wealth of historic buildings including the castle and the cathedral. All of Norfolk’s famous tourist attractions are within easy reach and several of the National Trust’s prime properties are in the area. Shops 2 miles.
