A short drive inland brings guests to the county’s rolling countryside which is scattered with charming market towns including Llandeilo and Carmarthen, as well as numerous medieval sites dotted around. A trip to Carmarthenshire is not complete without a visit to Laugharne, which was formerly home to famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, who described the charming village as ‘the strangest town in Wales’.
