Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in the small village of Thorlby and nestled within a quiet location, adjacent to the owners home, this cottage offers a tranquil, rural location, overlooking fields to the rear. Providing guests with an ideal place from which to walk direct from the door, up the lanes and around Sharp Haw, where a circular route will take you round moorland and forest. Cycling enthusiasts can also take in part of the Tour De France route and keen mountain bikers can access many local challenges. The cottage has facilities to wash and store your bike at the cottage. Alternatively, the bustling market town of Skipton, which is known as ’The Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales’, is just 2 miles away, here you will find a wide sweeping cobbled High Street with a Norman castle sitting at the top, and a large selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. There are also canal trips, a golf course and a public indoor swimming pool and leisure complex. A little further afield lies the spa town of Harrogate, which will satisfy the guests who love to shop. For alternative full days out, York and The Lake District are just over an hour’s drive away and definitely worth a visit. For those who like National Trust properties, there is East Riddlesden Hall, Studley Royal and Brimham Rocks nearby. When you are ready to head back to the property, you can simply relax in the garden and enjoy the rural idyll with a glass of wine in hand. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 1 mile.
