The town boasts a number of fish and chip shops, an award-winning ice cream shop, a Sunday market and a fine seafood restaurant next to the lifeboat house. From the harbour, you can take a Puffin boat trip to Coquet Island and see the RSPB bird sanctuary. The pretty village of Warkworth features a hillside castle along with a selection of cafes, pubs and bespoke independent shops that are not to be missed. Amble is set on the edge of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty-the Northumberland Coast, which comprises empty golden beaches, rolling sand dunes, rocky outcrops, unbroken sea views and a network of tracks and paths.
