Set in the heart of this pretty village in a private small gated courtyard, this terraced stone holiday cottage is tastefully furnished and equipped to a good standard offering ideal accommodation for couples or a small family. A gentle stroll will lead you to a choice of village pubs and cafés, as well as a small selection of bespoke gift shops. The pretty riverside has picnic tables and benches which are perfect for relaxing. The friendly village post office and shop is nearby where a warm friendly welcome awaits. Warkworth Castle is a pleasant walk and open all year round, awash with daffodils in the spring making a striking picture on entering the village. The sandy beach is less than a mile and stretches for 3 miles northwards to Alnmouth, a pretty picture postcard village with a glorious beach. Boat trips are available from nearby Amble for sea fishing and to view the seabirds on Coquet Island. A few minutes’ drive and you will be in Alnwick, with its famous castle and enchanting water gardens and a larger selection of shops and pubs. Beach ¾ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
