Nestling in the heart of the historic village of Kinlochleven and surrounded by magnificent mountains, lochs and glens, The Steadings Apartment, adjacent to the owners’ home, offers an extremely comfortable base from which to explore the Highlands and west coast of Scotland. The West Highland Way and the Mamore Mountains can be accessed literally from the sitting-out area, and there is an abundance of wildlife with deer often spotted behind this delightful semi-detached apartment. The area is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and has been used as the backdrop for many famous films, including Harry Potter, Rob Roy and Braveheart. Take the Corran Ferry to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, or enjoy a boat trip to one of the Inner Hebrides and explore the isles of Mull, Staffa and Iona. A ride on the famous Jacobite Steam Train from Fort William to Mallaig is not to be missed, and for a fantastic day out, travel up Aonach Mor mountain in a gondola at Nevis Range. A variety of sporting activities are available locally, including climbing, skiing, golfing, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing and sailing. For the less energetic, there are plenty of gentle forest walks, museums, distilleries, castles, gardens and monuments to visit. Kinlochleven has an ice climbing and mountain activity centre, a small museum with visitor centre, post office, shop and a choice of good pubs and restaurants.
