The inviting terrace overlooks the fields and is the perfect spot for al fresco dining. Visit the delightful market town of Battle, which grew around Battle Abbey. You can walk across the famous battlefield and follow in the steps of the Norman and Saxon soldiers. The seaside town of Hastings, 7 miles, is a great place to stroll along the pier and indulge in some fish and chips. Sedlescombe offers the opportunity to visit a thriving organic vineyard, which has won many accolades for its wine. The area is home to National Trust properties, including Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle and Rudyard Kipling’s stunning home, Bateman’s. The Cinque port town of Rye, with its cobbled medieval streets, it well worth a visit, and there are good rail links to London from nearby Battle. Golf is available locally. Beach 7 miles.
