The barn is reached down a private lane and is independently situated in the owner’s grounds. It makes an ideal base from which to explore this beautiful and secret side of Cornwall. Nearby are the beautiful Helford River and creeks with some of Cornwall’s most scenic coastal walks, while the Lizard Peninsula has hidden coves and tiny fishing villages, and the UK’s most southerly point. The busy maritime port and town of Falmouth with its prestigious marina’s deep water harbour attracts an array of large ships, ocean liners, sailing vessels and super yachts. Falmouth has a busy social calendar, hosting high profile sailing events, and food and music festivals. It is home to The National Maritime Museum located in the heart of Events Square, with an array of restaurants, many offering al fresco dining from local cafés to Rick Stein’s restaurant. It also hosts a great selection of shops, bars, art and craft galleries, restaurants, cinema, bowling, golf course and water sports. Take one of the local ferry services or water taxis to St Mawes, Flushing, or a sea safari to watch seals, dolphins, basking sharks and much more. Church Cove, Gunwalloe and Poldhu beaches are all appoximately 8 miles away.
