The properties have a natural water supply from a borehole. There is an unfenced stream in the grounds, 50 yards.. A perfect base to explore the Northumberland National Park, Kielder Water, forest and observatory which must be booked directly in advance. Otterburn is 9 miles with a beautiful Pub Le Petite Château, a mill shop and general dealers. Bellingham and Jedburgh are around 18 miles away and offer amenities to suit everyone. A day trip to Alnwick with its famous castle and water gardens, and the Northumberland Heritage Coast, peppered with castles and beaches, makes a fine day out. Hadrians Wall is is steeped in history with Roman forts and museums along the way. A great location for those looking to explore this friendly and unspoilt county.
