The southern Lake District offers so much for a relaxing holiday or more strenuous fell walking, whilst attractions such as the Haverthwaite Steam Railway, Cartmel Priory, Holker Hall and the South Lakes Wild Animal Park at Dalton are all within a short drive, as well as Hawkshead 5 miles away.
