Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. This spacious holiday cottage adjoins the owners’ home in a peaceful rural area surrounded by woodland and fields on a no-through road. The private patio is an ideal spot to enjoy watching the visiting wildlife and birds. Woodmancott is a hamlet close to Winchester, a medieval city surrounded by picturesque villages and scenic countryside, and is a culturally rich and vibrant destination. Visit the magnificent 900-year-old Winchester Cathedral and take a tour. Enjoy lunch in one of the award-winning pubs or restaurants, browse the ancient and modern shopping streets where you will find a thriving independent vibe from artisan bakers and butchers to lively art galleries, a working mill (the oldest in the country) and colourful markets. For rail enthusiasts, visit Alresford and Alton for the mid Hants Watercress Line or just to visit on market days. Nearby, visit Rooksbury Mill nature reserve for a day’s fishing in a beautiful natural setting, or visit Blackwood Forest for a lovely walk or cycle and finish up in the nice restaurant/coffee shop which is just 5 minutes away.
