Nestling in the peaceful, unspoilt countryside of the Towy Valley and overlooked by the magnificent 12th-century Dinefwr Castle, these three semi-detached holiday cottages (30878, 30879 and 30880) occupy an idyllic rural setting. Just 2 miles from the historic and quirky town of Llandeilo, this is an ideal base for visiting Wales. It is within easy reach of the breathtaking scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the beaches of west Wales and the splendid gardens of the Towy Valley. The National Botanic Gardens of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens are just minutes away. The bustling town of Carmarthen and the city of Swansea are both easily reached by car. Named after local castles, Carreg Cennen, Dinefwr and Dryslwyn have been converted from original farm outbuildings. An old stone threshing barn has been converted into a games room with table tennis, snooker and a selection of children’s toys. The cottages are all single-storey and built of traditional Welsh stone. Each has its own parking and patio area with garden furniture, set around a central courtyard next to an old orchard where guests can barbecue in the summer, pick fruit in the autumn or simply watch the deer grazing at dusk. Guests can enjoy themselves fishing on the renowned River Towy, bird watching (red kite can often be seen hovering over Dinefwr Castle) and walking. Beach 18 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
