Bonno’s Cottage is a lovely, terraced, three-storey family cottage, situated in a 1700s barn conversion, making it perfect for a family holiday of 4 adults and 2 children, in the bustling seaside town of Whitby. The cottage sits just a 15-minute walk from the hustle and bustle of this fishing town made famous by Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’. It has an enclosed, rear garden which is reached through the rear patio doors and a 42” Smart TV for your convenience. The town of Whitby is well-known for the Bram Stoker novel, ‘Dracula’, and holds true to its gothic roots with bi annual goth festivals. There is always something going on in the town all year round – from the Whitby Regatta, Steam Punk Weekenders, folk festival and many more events and festivals throughout the year. For the kids there is a 3 mile stretch of golden sand, donkey rides and boat trips out to sea, as well as a mini golf course and an indoor swimming pool for chillier times of the year. The abbey stands over the port and can be reached by climbing the old donkey track and its 199 steps to the top, giving an amazing view over the town, or take a walk or cycle along the Cinder Track down to Robin Hood’s Bay. Whitby has a wonderful mix of restaurants, tea rooms, bars and award winning fish and chip shops to choose from, with many set amongst the cobbled back streets of the old part of town. Take a steam train journey into the heart of the North York Moors National Park and enjoy some of the fantastic scenery on offer, such as waterfalls and mile upon mile of moorland walkways. The Yorkshire coast is home to many hidden gems such as Staithes, with its links to Captain Cook, and Robin Hood’s Bay. The nearby Victorian seaside town of Scarborough is home to a waterpark, Sea Life Centre and an open air theatre brimming with live music acts. The medieval walled city of York is just an hour away, boasting many attractions such as the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre. Day trips to the theme parks of Lightwater Valley and Flamingo Land are less than an hour away, and there is so much to see and do in the North York Moors. Beach 1 mile.
