This well-presented, Victorian terraced cottage is located on a residential road, about a 10-minute walk from the centre of the popular cathedral city of Salisbury. Clementine has easy road links to the city and many other popular sightseeing attractions. On the ground floor there is a cosy living room, central dining room with a wide selection of DVD’s, books and games for all the family, a well equipped kitchen, separate toilet and small conservatory. Outside there is a paved sitting-out area, with steps up to a lawned garden and a further sitting-out area with a barbecue. On the first floor there is a twin bedroom, family bathroom and kingsize bedroom with en-suite shower cubicle and toilet. On the second floor, there are two bedrooms, each with a single bed. In the local area there is lots to do for all ages. Salisbury has Britain’s tallest spire, Europe’s oldest clock and one of the original (and best preserved) copies of the Magna Carta. Salisbury Cathedral, with its ornate beauty, draws people in from all around the world. There are various events within the cathedral, including ‘Darkness into Light’, musical services, theatre productions and singing by the choir. Salisbury is a lively, vibrant city with a range of shops, arts, crafts and entertainment, and has a twice weekly charter market. There are also lots of eateries, inns and leisure amenities. The train station is about a 15 minutes’ walk, for those who prefer a car-free holiday, and there are tour buses to Stonehenge and other local attractions. Visit Old Sarum, an early settlement and an English Heritage Site, and Old Wardour Castle, which is a 14th-century structure set in gardens besides a lake. Within easy driving distance are Stonehenge, Monkey World, The Tank Museum, scenic walks along the Avebury Rings, the Fovant Badges (regimental badges carved into the chalk hills) and the Museum of Army Flying.
