This detached holiday bungalow is set in half an acre of lawn and wild gardens to encourage the local wildlife, on the border of Scotland. The area was fiercely fought over for centuries by Scottish and English families known as the Border Reivers. It is easy to see why they would all want to stake claim to the beautiful countryside, great castles and historically important sites such as Hadrian’s Wall. Find out more at the Carlisle’s Tullie House Museum and Carlisle Castle. There is plenty to explore from Hadrian’s Wall, the great border city of Carlisle, historic castles and good shopping. There are fantastic walks and cycleways right from your door with Kershope Forest only a couple of miles away and both the Lake District and the Eden Valley just a short drive and excellent seasonal salmon fishing in the River Esk. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
