Sitting in a residential street on the outskirts of Newquay, this spacious, semi-detached three storey house is a very short stroll away from Newquay’s premier family beach. Porth Beach with its own island connected by a bridge, has an iron age settlement, a great spot to watch the sunset while you enjoy a glass of wine. Porth, the original fishing port before the quay was built down the coast, has a beachside pub with great food and local ales, a beach shop and cafés. The surfing town of Newquay with its seven stunning beaches is just minutes away with its many attractions which include a zoo, a sealife centre, leisure centre, golf course, pitch ’n’ putt course, parks and gardens, as well as dramatic cliff top walks and many restaurants, cafés and shops. With its beaches comes surf and surf schools, so you can try your hand at this exhilarating sport. Truro, the capital of Cornwall, is easily reached and is a must to explore the narrow streets and enjoy the restaurants, shopping, museum, cinema and theatre for an alternative day or evening out. Padstow, home to Rick Stein’s food empire, is a must visit for all the family. Wander around the narrow streets that all lead to the working harbour and enjoy the ambiance provided by this traditional working fishing village. A flat walking and cycling trail links the town to Wadebridge and hugs the shoreline of the beautiful Camel Estuary all the way along this stunning trail. Bike hire is available at both ends. A top tip is to ride from Wadebridge to Padstow and enjoy fish and chips from Stein’s Chippy on the harbour before the ride home. Creally Adventure Park and Lappa Valley Steam Railway are nearby. This property provides the ideal base to explore further afield as the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project and many National Trust gardens, parks and houses are close by, such as Lanhydrock House and Trerice Manor. St Ives, Falmouth, Fowey and Mevagissey are all easily reached and all provide an alternative day out. Golf, cycling, horse riding, surfing, sailing and kayaking are all available locally. Beach ¼ mile. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
