Right in the heart of the action but elevated from the street, it provides a quiet and relaxing getaway, for those looking to enjoy all that Hunstanton has to offer, while also grabbing some peace and quiet. With many of the rooms offering sea views, Chestney House was formerly the family home of the owner and you can see that it has been furnished and decorated with love. Dating back to the 1800s it was part of the first properties to be built in, what is now, the town centre and really is a property of character. With so much to do in Hunstanton itself you could park your car on arrival and then not use it until it’s time to go home, as everything is reachable on foot. But those wishing to explore the coast will find lots of unspoilt beaches, pretty villages and great places to eat. Wells-next-the-Sea is well worth a visit and offers a narrow gauge railway that takes you to the beach, a picturesque quay and a great mix of boutique and traditional seaside shops and cafes. History lovers will enjoy the Hanseatic port of Old King’s Lynn with its popular ghost walk and trips to the Sandringham Estate, which hosts lots of events throughout the year and to Holkham Hall too. Bird watchers, walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice as will beach lovers, who could literally find a different beach for every day of their stay, although with Hunstanton’s wide, golden beach on offer, it may be hard to tear yourself away. After all the fun of the fair, where better than Chestney House to relax and dream of adventures yet to come. Should you need parking for more than one car, there is a car park 120 yards away.
