All fuel and bed linen provided. Cot and Highchair available.. Outside: Balcony area. Half an acre of grassed area around the lodges for guests use. Parking for 2 cars. No smoking. The owner of this property has stabling and ’turn out’ available if you wish to bring your horse with you. The properties are situated in an area with many miles of off road areas for you to ride out on and could make a superb holiday for both your family and your horse. Hay and straw also available for an additional charge.. This pine log cabin enjoys a secluded south facing position on Snittlegarth Farm, with views across open country to Binsey Fell. A haven for wildlife, as well as the farm animals. Snittlegarth is home to roe deer, badgers, foxes, pheasants and a variety of songbirds, with red squirrels coming up to the lodges to feed. The original Snittlegarth Estate was owned by Lord Gillford and extended to 12,000 acres. It is now farmed on a smaller scale and has the benefit of footpaths from the doorstep on to Binsey Fell and beyond. Snittlegarth lies in a truly tranquil valley close to Ireby and Uldale on the northern fringe of the National Park and provides an idyllic retreat for those who wish to escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life. There are pubs in both Uldale and Ireby, each serving bar meals.
