The kitchen boasts an Aga, as well as an electric oven and hob, granite worktops and quality equipment including a Nespresso coffee machine. The living room is bathed in natural light and has two sets of French doors, one opening out to the decking, and the other to a more private patio area. There is always a place to escape and catch the sun from morning right the way through to the evening. On a cooler evening, why not curl up on the plump sofas and watch the fire crackle, the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of everyday life. To keep young and old entertained, the games room has a huge corner sofa, books, board games, a 55” TV with PlayStation 3 and a wide range of DVDs. The thoughtful owners provide an extensive welcome pack, which includes local produce and a doggy welcome pack too! Or, why not pull a nice cold pint from the PerfectDraft Keg Machine? A complimentary keg of beer is included in the welcome pack. To make your stay even more relaxing, fluffy dressing gowns, slippers and toiletries are provided for the duration of your stay. On the first floor, the bedrooms have been elegantly furnished with large comfortable beds, quality bedding and cosy throws, assuring your nights at Glebe House will be restful. Outside, you can enjoy far-reaching views across the countryside and glorious gardens. There’s also amazing terraces, beautiful flowers and walkways. There is a firepit for colder evenings and a barbecue to enjoy an al fresco supper, and several outdoor seating areas with sun loungers and two hammocks to while away a few hours with a good book. Getting away from it all is what great British holidays are all about. Surrounded by splendid Devon countryside in its own beautiful garden, and close to the breathtaking south Devon coast, Glebe House is the perfect escape. The property is situated between Colyton and the pretty village of Northleigh, with its 13th-century church. The historic town of Colyton, 2 miles, has picturesque narrow streets and a town square with a range of local shops, pubs and restaurants. The ancient market town of Honiton is 4 miles away and has a wide selection of shops, railway station and access to the A30 and M5. There are street markets on a Tuesday and Saturday, and regular farmers’ markets. Honiton is noted for its lacemaking and pottery, and an abundance of antique shops line the main street. Seaton Tramway is close by and operates narrow gauge heritage trams between Seaton, Colyford and Colyton in East Devon’s glorious Axe Valley. The trams travelling alongside the River Axe estuary pass through two nature reserves, and give an unrivalled view of the abundant wading bird life. Explore the Jurassic Coast, picturesque fishing village of Beer, or the ancient seaside town of Lyme Regis in Dorset, where there are beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants and the historic Cobb and fossil museums. Other stunning coastal towns nearby include Budleigh Salterton, Branscombe, Charmouth and Sidmouth. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
