This lovely first floor apartment for two enjoys an enviable and peaceful setting just yards from the banks of the River Ness on the edge of the Highland capital of Inverness. The Willows offers spacious, beautifully presented accommodation, and is furnished and equipped to a very good standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible, and is the perfect setting to explore this beautiful part of the northern Scottish Highlands. You do not have to go far to enjoy this part of the world as just a few minutes drive will take you in to the city centre. You will find something for everyone in Inverness, including a large range of shops, fine restaurants and bars, along with art galleries, museums and open topped bus tours to name but a few of the many amenities the city has to offer. Take a cruise on nearby Loch Ness, just 7 miles away, where you can explore the ruins of the historic Urquhart Castle on its shores, visit the Cairngorms National Park, with Aviemore at its centre, or the Landmark Forest Adventure Park in Carrbridge, 24½ miles, where you can have a fun filled day for all ages. The area is renowned for the large number of historical attractions, 20 miles, which include Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, and Cawdor and Brodie castles to name just a few. Take a trip along the Moray coastline, which is dotted with picturesque fishing villages and lovely beaches. The Scottish Dolphin Centre is a superb place to see the world’s largest bottlenose dolphins. Depending on the time of year, you might even be able to do some whale-watching. Minke and killer whales both visit these waters and there have been sightings of sperm whales and pilot whales also. The centre offers hourly guided tours and a very informative learning centre that children love. Enjoy a round of golf on some of Scotland’s most spectacular courses, including Macdonald Spey Valley at Aviemore, Royal Dornoch and Castle Stuart, whilst the Fairways Course and driving range is just a very short drive from The Willows. Mountain biking, water sports, fishing, climbing and hill walking are also widely available. For the less energetic, sit back, relax, unwind and enjoy this peaceful setting. Beach 12 miles.
