On road parking. No smoking.. Weavers Cottage is a two bedroomed property that is close to the beach and the owner, who lives nearby. The town of Girvan has not just a beautiful beach but also shops, a leisure centre with pool, childrens play park, a lovely promenade with views of the famous Ailsa Craig, and a harbour where day trips to Ailsa Craig for bird watching or fishing can be taken. The Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal walk, runs along this route and has one of the finest panoramic coastlines in the British Isles. The world famous Turnberry golf & spa resort is 10 minutes away and spa treatments can be booked in advance. Culzean Castle, owned by the National Trust for Scotland, is spectacular and is well worth a visit as is Dumfries House. The islands of Cumbrae and Arran are all easily reached for a day out, while day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan. The pretty towns of Troon, Prestwick and Ayr are only a short drive with very good rail links for a trip to the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow and also historic Edinburgh. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is an hour’s drive away and is well worth a visit. Beach 110 yards. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant 150 yards.
