No smoking. . Wren Cottage is a traditional stone fronted, end of terrace cottage with a lovely wood burner and full central heating system. Designed with family comforts in mind, offering plenty of books, DVDs, games and accessories for children and grown ups. The pretty kitchen/dining room has a door out to a small enclosed yard ideal for sipping a cup of tea and catching some sun. The pretty village green is to the rear of the house. There are ample amenities, including a great pub and a local shop nearby. Alnwick, Morpeth and Rothbury are all easily reached and the unspoilt golden beaches of the Heritage Coast are only a short drive. Other nearby attractions are Whitehouse Farm Centre and the small Northumbrian Zoo, only a few miles away, and always a huge hit with the smaller visitors. Very close by is Linden Hall Spa and Golf Club, should you wish to treat yourself in the spa or for a round of golf. There are plenty of walking opportunities in the Cheviot Hills, Simonside or Ingram Valley. Rothbury is only a few miles away with the wonderful Cragside House and beautiful gardens, a traditional little market town with a few bespoke shops, pubs and cafés. Barter Books in Alnwick is one of the largest second hand book shops in a quirky disused railway surrounding where you can pop in, or spend the day. Northumberland, with its beautiful beaches, rugged moors, hills and Hadrian’s Wall has something for everyone, being such a diverse and friendly county.
