Enjoy what’s known as ’The Sunshine Coast’ because Eastbourne experiences high levels of sunshine and mild winters and first became noted as a holiday destination in 1780 when four of George IIIs children visited for a holiday. The Victorians perfected the art of promenading the 3 mile seafront, now you too can stroll, cycle or run from northern Europe’s largest marina complex at one end past the pier with its golden cupolas, take in a concert at the bandstand, or simply wiggle your toes in the sand whilst enjoying an ice cream and explore the rock pools at low tide.
