The surrounding area offers interesting places to visit, including Elizabethan stately homes at Burton Agnes and Burton Constable; Flamborough with its famous lighthouse, and RSPB Bempton where the cliffs are alive with seabirds. The coastal resorts of Hornsea, Bridlington and Filey offer miles of sandy beaches. Numerous walking and cycling tracks can be found amidst the scenic Yorkshire Wolds, which inspired the world renowned paintings of David Hockney. The market town of Beverley and it minster, the North Yorkshire Moors and the walled city of York are easily accessible.
