This terraced cottage has the benefit of off street parking for three cars, a real bonus in this busy little market town! The property sits behind a white picket gate which surrounds a typical English country garden with roses growing around the front door. On the ground floor is the dining room which offers plenty of space for the family to gather and enjoy delicious home cooked meals. The cosy living room has deep comfortable sofas surrounding the multi-fuel burner making this room the ideal place to put your feet up and relax after a long day exploring the local area. The kitchen has been refurbished in 2019 and offers a stylish cooking area with all the facilities you would expect. For those less mobile there is a ground floor twin bedroom and also a separate toilet. On the first floor is the family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The master double has an en-suite with a shower. There are two further bedrooms, one of which is up a further three steps and has a vaulted ceiling and Velux window. All of the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and offer a high level of comfort. With low ceilings and cottage windows the interior of this property really does ooze character and charm. To the rear of the property is a large enclosed patio area which is an ideal area to enjoy a morning coffee or al fresco dining later in the evening. Helmsley is more commonly known as the jewel in Yorkshire’s crown and offers excellent amenities. Visitors will have no problem filling their days, be it visiting the spectacular ruin of Rievaulx Abbey, exploring the Duncombe Park Estate and the Bird of Prey Centre, taking in the majestic Helmsley Castle and the Walled Garden or enjoying the North York Moors National Park. It even boasts its own little microbrewery. This pretty Yorkshire town is a walker’s paradise and sits at the start of the Cleveland Way. The market square is at the centre and this is where both villagers and tourists alike come together to sit outside one of the many cafés and eateries to watch the world go by. The historic city of York is only 24 miles away and with world renowned visitor attractions such as the Jorvic Viking Centre, National Railway Museum, York’s Chocolate Story and York Minster; a day visit here is an absolute must. Thirsk, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and home of James Herriot, is also only a short drive away. The beautiful Yorkshire coastline including the seaside town of Scarborough is under an hours drive from Helmsley.
