There is also a fantastic golf range close by, a local train station where you an take a train to the village of Arnside just across the estuary. Further out of Grange, Cartmel is only 2 miles down the road, famous for its horse racing weekends and its sticky toffee pudding. This quirky village is definitely worth a visit and offers two Michelin star restaurants for you to enjoy-be sure to book! Newby Bridge, home to the Lakes Aquarium, Windermere Lake Cruises and the Haverthwaite steam train, is just 7 miles away.
