This spacious, detached bungalow has a lovely garden and patio area where you can sit out and enjoy the sunshine. The pretty village of Bardon Mill is just a mile down the road. Here you will find a coffee shop/small general store which sells newspapers and magazines, and the local hotel serves good food and ales. Out and about, this is a fabulous place to explore with so much to see and do. Set on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, the location is excellent for exploring the spectacular scenery of the north of England, the Scottish borderland and the Lake District National Park, which is just an hour away. Nearby you can discover the Vindolanda Roman Fort, The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world famous Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall. Also within easy reach is Haltwhistle, which is the geographic centre of Britain, and has a sports centre and outdoor heated swimming pools, as well as Burn Gorge. A must on the list to visit is the historic market town of Hexham, which boasts a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country, and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Continue on to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge, and meander round its boutique shops, art galleries and antique shops, or stop for a coffee after taking a stroll along the river. Directly opposite is the bus stop which will take you to Hadrian’s Wall or into the city of Newcastle. Alternatively you can take the train from Bardon Mill on the Newcastle/Carlisle railway line with a stopping service in each direction every 2 hours.
