Please note: Sorry, no hen or stag parties.. A super little cottage with the most wonderful views over the Matlock hills and beyond. Peak View cottage’s proximity to the fantastic Peak District is perfect, and within a ten-minute walk to the centre of Matlock, it offers guests the opportunity to sample some of the many artisan coffee shops and cocktail bars. Great care and attention has been taken by the owners to ensure that this holiday cottage provides everything you need. Two beautifully appointed bedrooms, along with a bathroom, can be found upstairs, whilst downstairs there is a comfy lounge with a wood burner, kitchen and separate dining area. Outside you will find a courtyard area to enjoy with a chilled glass of wine or morning cup of coffee and an additional seating area to the front of the property to enjoy the beautiful views.. As the county town of Derbyshire, Matlock offers excellent amenities, and its streets are lined with pretty stone buildings and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Nearby Matlock Bath has the famous Heights of Abraham cable car which has been thrilling visitors with incredible views for generations. The 60-acre park opened in 1780 at the height of Matlock’s popularity as a spa town, and features two stunning underground caverns, an exciting adventure playground, Victorian folly tower and a collection of footpaths that make the most of the gardens and scenery. Other activities to consider for the day include the magnificent Chatsworth House, Bakewell town, the Crich Tramway Museum and the Blue John Cavern to name but a few. The Peak District offers a wealth of fabulous walks with many of the best in and around Matlock itself, so if you have been searching for the perfect place where you, family & friends can meet for a long overdue catchup, or simply for a relaxing weekend, you have certainly found it at Peak View.
