No smoking.. Morven View is perched high above Oban town centre in a quiet residential area just a 10-minute walk from Oban town centre. It is far enough away to enjoy your privacy and enjoy views over the town, Oban Bay and to the Morvern hills beyond. Decorated to a very good standard with beautiful artwork adorning the walls and all home comforts, Morven View can accommodate a larger family yet is still comfortable and cosy for a couple. Easily accessible via an entrance ramp or two small steps, there is a cosy bedroom on the ground floor with a small double bed, and a small shower room. The elegant living room with cosy coal-effect gas fire has patio doors leading out onto the rear garden. Upstairs, Morven Gardens has a master bedroom with en-suite shower room, a double bedroom, another single room and a family bathroom. The rear garden area features a terrace with hot tub, garden seating, barbecue and a storage shed, whilst the front garden area has a sheltered seating area to enjoy views over the town. Within a 5-minute walk from Morven Gardens, you will find yourself either in the centre of Oban or on a quiet single track road towards the lovely scenic Glen Shellach, with walks leading over the hills towards Gallanach and stunning views over the Firth of Lorn. A bustling west coast harbour town, Oban has lots going on for the visitor at any time of the year. Central for touring Argyll and known as the ’Gateway to the Isles’, with ferries leaving daily to many of the islands, such as Mull, Iona, Staffa and Lismore. In keeping with its reputation as the ’Seafood Capital of Scotland’, there are some excellent restaurants, cafés and pubs for relaxing in after a pleasant day out exploring all the wonderful scenery and interesting attractions which Argyll has to offer. In Oban itself, you can enjoy a pleasant stroll along the Esplanade at sunset, or walk through the Dunollie woods to Dunollie Castle and Museum. There is a lovely sandy beach at Ganavan, just 2 miles drive, or walk along the coastal road. There’s a kayaking centre which launches directly into Oban Bay and daily wildlife spotting boat trips from the Esplanade. The area around Oban has an abundance of wildlife with golden eagles, basking sharks, porpoises and otters often seen. In less than an hour, you can be exploring the mountains of Glencoe to the north or Inveraray to the south where you can visit Inveraray Jail and Auchindrain Museum. Nearby, there are also ruined castles such as Dunstaffnage and Kilchurn, beautiful gardens at Arduaine and Crarae, and sites of historical interest, including Kilmartin Glen and the slate island of Easdale. There are so many outdoor activities in the area include diving, sailing, kayaking, horse riding, golf, mountain biking and fishing. Glencoe and Aonach Mhor in Fort William are easily accessible and also offer popular walking, mountain biking, climbing and skiing. Free WiFi
