Situated on a large corner plot in a quiet back street location of historical Dufftown, you and your family will have plenty of space in which to relax. With two reception rooms, a downstairs single room, formally the cell for the station, with an adjacent shower room, makes it ideal for elderly relatives to come along and have their own personal space. A large family room with dual aspect windows lets in plenty of light, a good-sized kitchen with central island breakfast bar is perfect for cooking up family meals and the separate dining room makes a great place for family fun to play board games, sit and read for a while or plan the next day’s adventures. For a good night’s sleep, two large kingsized bedrooms and a twin can be found on the first floor, with a family bathroom containing a bath and shower cubicle. The enclosed garden is safe for children to play on the extensive lawn, ample off-street parking and storage for either bikes or sports equipment. Dufftown is just a short level walk, where you really are in the heart of Speyside, it is the whisky distillery capital and includes distillery tours of Glenfiddich and The Balvenie to name a few, numerous whisky shops offering personal tastings and an excellent range of bars and restaurants with good food and plenty of chances to sample a malt or two. But there is more to the town than just whisky, the Highland Games are one of the highlights of the year. Like many other villages and towns in the Highlands, Dufftown is proud to host its own Highland Games, a tradition dating back over 150 years, and there are few more stirring sights and sounds in Scotland than the pipes, drums and dress tartans of a pipe band. Further afield, the popular Cairngorms town of Aviemore (40 miles) takes you through some of the most stunning scenery, whilst a trip to Inverness (48 miles) is known as the gateway to the Highlands and perfect for a day out to Loch Ness. Pub, restaurant and shop 500 yards. Free WiFi
