On road parking. No smoking.. Florence Cottage is a cosy semi-detached property in the heart of the pretty village of Flamborough on the stunning East Riding coastline. It is just perfect for a family of four or a group of friends to enjoy a peaceful break away at the seaside. Step inside and Florence Cottage oozes history, charm, and character. The cosy sitting room retains its original terracotta tiled floor and Victorian cooking range. This room offers a truly relaxing feel for an evening in. The kitchen is to the rear of the property and offers all the facilities required to cook up your favourite holiday meal; although there is no dining table, lap trays are provided so you can enjoy your meal without missing your favourite TV programme. If you don’t fancy cooking, there is a pub just 50 yards from the front door! The house shower room completes the ground floor accommodation. The winding cottage stairs take you to the first floor where you will find both a double and twin room. The rooms are decorated sympathetically in a cottage style and both have a TV for those lazy lay ins or a late film on an evening. To the outside of the property, you can sit back and relax in the enclosed shared courtyard. There is private seating and a BBQ for those warmer summer nights. The village of Flamborough offers a small selection of pubs and restaurants as well as a convenience store, and is a bird lover and walkers’ delight. The towering cliffs form part of an eight mile stretch of heritage coastline and Bempton Nature Reserve is the perfect place to find puffins. It is also home to one of the UK’s top wildlife spectacles with over half a million birds gathering here throughout the summer months. Just a short walk outside the village is Danes Dyke which offers a shaded woodland walk to the beach. For the more adventurous why not explore the smugglers caves at North Landing.
