Utility cupboard: With washing machine and tumble dryer. Separate toilet. First Floor: Bedroom 1: With zip and link twin beds (can be kingsize on request) and Freeview Smart TV. Bedroom 2: With zip and link twin beds (can be kingsize on request) Bedroom 3: With 2ft 3in single bed, pull-out 2ft 3in single bed and en-suite with shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail. Bathroom: With double-ended slipper bath, shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.. Oil central heating (underfloor in kitchen/dining room, bathroom and en-suite), electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and logs for wood burner included. This fantastic cottage is in the peaceful village of Woodgreen, which is in The New Forest. You are very likely to see horses, donkeys and cattle wandering past your front gate and they are often seen grazing on the green opposite the property. Speedwell Cottage has a spacious open kitchen and dining area perfect for spending time together and cooking up some delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen. There is a comfortable living area with a Smart TV and Freesat box, a wonderful window seat where you can see the front garden and onto the lane where the ponies could be wandering past. Upstairs is a spacious kingsize bedroom with zip and link beds which can be made up as a twin or a king on request, a twin room which can also be turned into a double bed on request and a small single room with a pull-out bed leading towards an en-suite shower room. The main bathroom has a beautiful roll-top bath, a cubicle shower and underfloor heating. At the back of the property there is a small patio area, and at the front is a spacious, lawned garden suitable for playing games, eating outside, and enjoying the weather. This fantastic cottage is in the peaceful village of Woodgreen, in the New Forest. You are very likely to see horses, donkeys and cattle wandering past your front gate, and they are often seen grazing on the green adjacent to the property. Woodgreen is a small village with a population of approximately 550 and is situated on the north west edge of the New Forest. Woodgreen Common is designated as a site of special scientific interest. From Speedwell Cottage a short walk up the hill (0.7km) will lead you to the open common, and a short walk down the hill and across Woodgreen village green will put you straight into a wooden enclosure called Godshill Enclosure. There are many walks and cycle rides that can be undertaken directly from the cottage. Woodgreen also boasts a wonderful village pub serving traditional British cuisine, which is an easy walk of less than 1 mile from the cottage (make sure you have a torch for the way home), and a delightful village store and post office. The property is in the New Forest National Park, which offers endless walking and off-road cycling opportunities. It is surrounded with country villages, all boasting village pubs with excellent food. The neighbouring market town of Fordingbridge has a pub on the river and a great grocer shop for local produce; there is also an organic farm shop close by with its own café. Fordingbridge is known for its medieval bridge with five arches, and has many local shops, boutiques, eateries, and a church. Nearby there is a waterpark, which offers windsurfing, sailing, fishing and water sports, and there is horse riding and golf in the area too. You will find beautiful beaches at Southbourne, Bournemouth and Sandbanks. Other places to visit include Moors Valley, Christchurch Harbour and Dorset Heavy Horse Farm. Winchester and Salisbury are within driving distance with their cathedrals. Family days out include Marwell Zoo, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Monkey World and Adventure Wonderland.
