Looking over the Kyle of Sutherland, your eyes are drawn across this stretch of water. Whether you sit in the comfortable living room or from the sumptuous bedroom, the ever-changing light and wildlife will keep your attention. Laid over ground floor accommodation, the owner has your enjoyment in mind, elegantly decorated, and exceptional quality fixtures, you feel a little bit special during your stay here. Outside, a large open plan garden to the side is your own; with a patio seating area overlooking the views it is simply a place to sit, relax and drink in the peace and tranquillity of the setting. The south facing aspect means you get the sun all day. Look out for osprey fishing from the channel, where otters and the occasional eagle have been spotted. Nearby Bonar Bridge, 5 miles, has several small shops, restaurants pubs and takeaways, and is an ideal stop to get everything you need before you head out for a full day of exploring. Cyclists and mountain bikers will not be disappointed with the many routes and trails to enjoy. Fishing and golfing is also available locally, or for something different, a nearby shooting range at Invershin can offer activities for all ages and abilities. Local distilleries include Balblair and Glenmorangie, and a visit to Dornoch sandy beach is a must. The Annex is very well located for you to explore the northern Highlands in all. The NC500 is 11 miles to the east, and with Lairg, the crossroads of the Highlands, nearby, there are many amazing routes to take for the north and west coasts. In 45 minutes, you can be on the west coast in the other-worldly Assynt area, and in just over an hour you can be on the north coast of Scotland, joining up with the NC500 again in the west and north. It’s a truly outstanding spot from which to enjoy an amazing Highland holiday. Beach 17 miles.
