The garden is a pure delight, playing host to a captivating array of mature trees, flowers, and plants. For the railway enthusiast a very special treat awaits! As you walk up through the garden you will find a private gateway; from here a pathway leads you directly to the Coleslogget Halt on the famous Bodmin & Wenford Railway. A perfect viewpoint to experience the wonders of a bygone era, where steam locomotives and Pullman carriages pass by on their way from Bodmin Station, transporting you back through time. For the art lover, a visit to the owners’ chapel, the beautiful setting of Stable Art, where you can book art lessons, marvel at the range of mirrors and picture frames, materials and so much more. Enjoy scrumptious home baked fayre in the wonderful café and for guests, a special rate is offered on lessons! Cardinham Woods, a myriad of pathways, graded in difficulty for both walkers and cyclists, lies on your doorstep. Watch out for deer, buzzards swooping above and the distant tapping of a woodpecker! Vibrant Bude, a surfers’ paradise, has shops, restaurants, pubs, and several beaches to enjoy, including the huge Widemouth Bay, where at low tide ancient rock formations emerge, revealing rock pools and shallows a plenty.
