A freshly renovated airy apartment, it’s the ideal size for a couple or small group wishing to enjoy a coastal town centre break, and is made cosy by convenient gas heating. It has an airy welcoming living area with large window enjoying a partial view of Oban Harbour and a spacious modern kitchen/diner, fully equipped for easy self-catering. There are two welcoming double bedrooms with lovely comfy beds, served by an adjacent shower room. A bustling west coast harbour town, Oban has lots going on for the visitor at any time of the year. Central for touring Argyll, and known as the “Gateway to the Isles”, with ferries leaving daily to many of the islands, such as Mull, Iona, Staffa, Lismore. Loads of outdoor sports to enjoy locally, with a kayaking centre just yards away, which launches into Oban Bay, directly in front of the apartment. In keeping with its reputation as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, there are some excellent restaurants, cafés and pubs nearby, for relaxing after a pleasant day out exploring all the wonderful scenery and interesting attractions which Argyll has to offer. There is a lovely sandy beach at Ganavan, just two miles’ drive along the coastal road. Dunollie, Dunstaffnage and Kilchurn Castles are some of the nearby castles to visit as part of a day’s sightseeing. Further afield but within an hour’s drive, visitors can enjoy the scenery of Glencoe, take a trip to Fort William to see Ben Nevis, or catch the steam train to Mallaig, or take a visit to Inveraray to enjoy the Castle or infamous Jail.
