Built-in 2021, Island Time is the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the Isle of Wight or sunning yourself on the beach just yards away. The open plan living area has gorgeous leather sofas and a Smart TV, where you can relax and enjoy the sea views from the French doors through to the balcony. The dining area has seating for up to six people and is positioned alongside the well-equipped kitchen area, great for entertaining and socialising. It is perfectly placed so that you can relax and admire the passing ships on the English Channel, those moored in the bay, or take a very short stroll to two restaurants really close by. or the new food court. After the seaside bustle of the day fades away, this end of Sandown is taken over by the sound of the waves lapping along the five mile long sandy beach and, as evening draws in, the colourful lights begin to glimmer around the curve of the bay. Just across the road in front of the development is Sandown beach. This stretch of beach between Sandown and Yaverland has been voted one of the Island’s best, providing a long stretch of sand and great swimming waters for children and families. Along this stretch you can see the red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver Cliff, and it is around here that fossil remains can be found; be sure to book a guided fossil walk at the nearby Dinosaur Isle attraction. Sandham Garden’s play area is just across the road from the apartment with go karting sky nets and crazy golf and children’s play area. A short flat walk further along towards Yaverland, and you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary formerly the isle of Wight Zoo, famous for its big cats. Sandown is a truly traditional British beach resort with pier, amusements and brimming with attractions to entertain visitors, most of them right on the beachfront itself, so you never have to stray too far from the golden sands. Should you enjoy a coastal walk, you can walk the length of Sandown Bay from Yaverland, along the seaside revetment, all the way to the popular neighbouring town of Shanklin. If you are keen on an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water-sports, and you’ll certainly see people paddle boarding, surfing, catamaran and dingy sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing, depending on the weather.
