Bedroom 3: With twin beds. Bathroom: With bath, shower cubicle and toilet. Separate toilet.. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included, remainder at £5 per basket. Cot, travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack.. Lawned garden with decked area and garden furniture. 200-acre natural grounds with woodland (shared with other property on-site). 2 pets welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (working sheep farm). Salmon and trout fishing on-site (£25 per day Mar-Aug, £40 per day Sep-Oct). Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced river in the grounds, ½ mile away. . This spacious detached cottage enjoys a rural location on a working sheep farm, with fantastic open views over the Ayrshire countryside to the sea and Isle of Arran beyond. Ayrshire is the heart of Burns’ Country, and is steeped in tradition and history. Fans of Burns will be able to visit many attractions including Burns Cottage, the Burns Memorial Museum and the Brig o’Doon - the bridge from the famous poem Tam o’Shanter. The Ayrshire Coastal Path is a 100-mile long coastal walk with one of the finest panoramic coastlines in the British Isles. Crowned with a superb backdrop of the ever-changing profile of the mountains of Arran across the Firth of Clyde, this coastline is steeped in history and teeming with wildlife, including red squirrels, deer, otters and seals; it is also a haven for bird watchers. The River Ayr Way, a 40-mile source to sea walk, is also easily accessed. Inland, there are gardens and castles to visit and activities such as horse riding, racing and golf to enjoy. The many golf courses include the world famous Royal Troon and Turnberry courses both close to hand, with Turnberry also having a fantastic spa and outdoor centre. Culzean Castle, owned by the National Trust for Scotland, is spectacular and is Ayrshire’s most popular tourist attraction. Why not visit Dumfries House, renovated and brought back to life by HRH Prince Charles. Mountain bikers will love a visit to Galloway Forest National Park. The islands of Cumbrae, Arran and Bute are all easily reached for a day out, while day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan. The pretty towns of Troon, Prestwick and Ayr are only a short drive with very good rail links for a trip to the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow and also historic Edinburgh. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs national park is an hour’s drive and is well worth a visit. Beach 9 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
