Church Place is a beautiful town house in a quiet location overlooking the town’s bowling green. The owner’s attention to detail and flair is evident from the moment you walk through the door. The furnishings and décor compliment the house beautifully. The large kitchen/dining room with its bold colours and large farmhouse table with the church pew seating is the ideal place to enjoy a meal with your family or friends. Retreat to the cosy living room with a wood burner and views over the bowling club. It is a relaxing room, and the décor is complimented by the comfortable sofas. The bedrooms have large comfortable beds and quality linen and at the top of the house is the crowning glory – a stunning bathroom with free standing bath and large walk-in shower. Quite simply Church Place is a stunning house and the perfect location to enjoy your magical time in and around the area. Kirkcudbright is a vibrant and lively little harbour town with events and activities taking place throughout the year with the summer festivities culminating with the spectacular Tattoo with performances throughout the evening culminating with the lone piper serenading the crowds! Known as the “Artists Town” visit the famous Broughton House, once home to E. A. Hornel one of the “Glasgow Boys”. Having hosted generations of painters, craft makers and artisans – this culture is still thriving today with numerous Galleries throughout the town including the Kirkcudbright Galleries a new gallery of national significance which hosts exhibitions throughout the year. From the town there are numerous walks available, from scenic coastal walks to forest trails and with sailing, swimming, riding, fishing, golf, boat trips and water sports there is something to keep everyone entertained. Central to 5 of the 7 Stanes mountain biking routes, Dumfries and Galloway is popular with cyclist. If a lazy day at the beach is more for you just 3 miles from town is the wide sandy beach of Dhoon Bay and with relatively shallow water and plenty of rock pools it is a fun day out for all the family.
