Description

The beach is in close proximity and Mount Snowdon only a short drive from the house. A well kitted out, stylish, three bed house, sleeping six, with car parking space for two cars and dogs accepted. Ideal for families and golfers alike. Harlech is an attractive historic coastal town that boasts an award winning beach, a range of interesting shops, a vibrant arts and crafts scene and a spectacular castle. Gorwel is ideally situated, being 5 minute walk from the internationally renowned Royal St David's Golf Club and just 10 minutes from Harlech Beach which provides a four-mile stretch of pristine golden sand, with far reaching views towards Snowdonia. The property enjoys a backdrop of the 13th century Harlech Castle, a World Heritage site, Gorwel is close to local amenities with only a two minute walk from Harlech's eateries and shops. The local area includes Porthmadog, a lively harbour town and there is a coastal railway trip with spectacular views of the sea on one side and the mountains on the other. Harlech station is a few minutes walk from Gorwel. The breath-taking Snowdonia National Park lies only a 20 minute drive away, which you can explore on foot or by bike. Also close by is the Italian village of Portmeirion and the highly popular activity attractions of Zip World. A small front garden looks out over the golf course and sea beyond. Once through the front door, an entrance hall offers storage space – then on through to a thoughtfully designed living/dining area, with exposed wooden floorboards and a wood burning log stove. It has modern and comfortable furnishings including a wall-mounted Smart TV for movie nights in. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven, a microwave, a washing machine and dishwasher. The dining area has a table which sits 6-8 comfortably or dine al fresco in the back garden, where you can take in the view of the castle, or enjoy the sunsets. A second reception room is a bright and open conservatory at the back of the house, which is well furnished with a rattan sofa and chairs which can be taken outside to enjoy al fresco relaxation! The first floor of the property has two spacious bedrooms each with a king-size bed and high quality bedding and furnishings. On this floor is the family bathroom which has a separate bath and shower. The stairs to the second floor lead you to a pretty twin bedroom. Whilst this is decorated to suit children, it has two full size single beds that can accommodate children or adults. Outside is a good size garden with sea views and the garage offers a safe and spacious place to store all your outdoor activity equipment. Gorwel is in a perfect location from which to explore the coast of North-West Wales and Snowdonia National Park for an adventure holiday to entertain the whole family.
