Whitstable is a delightful seaside town that offers plenty of activities for families. The town has a wealth of independent shops and a fine selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs, all within 500m of the cottage. Enjoy the beach and coastal walks as well as a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. Why not take a bike ride along the seafront, the Oyster Bay Trail takes you along the coast to Herne Bay (5.5 miles) and finishes in Reculver, a former Roman settlement, or follow the Crab and Winkle Way to the city of Canterbury (7 miles), which is home to the country s oldest cathedral and the Marlow theatre, the perfect place to enjoy some history and culture. The front door of this beautiful property opens onto the comfortably furnished lounge that features two sofas arranged around a Smart TV and the feature fire. From the lounge, head through to the dining room that offers an original Ercol dining table with seating around a wood burner for guests to enjoy. Beyond the dining room is the well equipped kitchen with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge and dishwasher. An alcove between the kitchen and bathroom offers a handy utility area with a washing machine and completing the ground floor is the family bathroom, which features a bath with a shower over, and WC. Heading up to the first floor, there are three bedrooms: a double and two singles, one of which has a pull out bed that can be made into a double for an additional guest. Outside, you'll discover a large garden with a patio area that is a wonderful sun trap that offers a patio table and chairs and a charcoal BBQ that can be enjoyed throughout the day.
