Slightly further away, Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's acclaimed River Cottage restaurant can be found in Axminster (3 miles) as well as a weekly market and variety of shops. Alternatively, head towards the world renowned Jurassic Coast and visit the seaside towns of Beer and Lyme Regis, both within an 8 mile drive, or spend an afternoon exploring the Axe Estuary Nature Reserve. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here include Abbotsbury Swannery (24 miles), Bicton Park (18 miles), the cathedral city of Exeter (23 miles) and numerous National Trust properties. The first and larger of the two rooms boasts a king size bed and an opening large window to a pretty Juliet balcony. The second, a smaller but equally as impeccably styled room, offers a super king 'zip and link' bed which can be made in to a twin.
