In Penrith, you ll find a historic castle, plenty of eateries and, of course, a train station connecting you to Cumbria further afield. You won t feel short changed when it comes to adventure in the nearby Lake District National Park (3 miles), a vibrant and magical area filled with stunning mountains and impressive lakes. Discover the vast Ullswater just 5 miles from home, enjoying a calming walk along its shores and a visit to the awe inspiring Aira Force Waterfall (11 miles). Not too much further is the impressive fell of Helvellyn (16.5 miles), a stunning peak that ll satisfy even the expert hikers. Lovingly presented with traditional design elements and neutral decor, this cottage offers a truly inviting place to call your own throughout your Lakeland stay. Venture to the front door to be met with a handy porch space, generous in size for boots and coats, as well as offering secure storage space for one or two bikes. Further coat hooks can be found in the next door utility room along with a washing machine and a freezer. From here, an ever inviting lounge come dining room lies waiting for you on the ground floor. Fully equipped with a wood burner effect gas fire set into an original fireplace, this room promises a cosy spot to unwind at the end of each day. The dining table has been placed by the window for enjoying the view whilst you dine, whilst the room has also been equipped with a TV/DVD as well as a stereo.
