This handsome, one bedroom cottage sleeps two guests and is well placed for long walks beside the River Derwent and Bassenthwaite Lake. Head out to climb Sale Fell, 1 mile away, with its spectacular views. Embark upon walks next to Bassenthwaite Lake, which is known for its wildlife, especially its nesting ospreys. Have a trip to the Lakes Distillery, 2 miles away, and the Lake District Wildlife Park, 4 miles away. Drive 4 miles into Cockermouth to shop, dine out and see William Wordsworth s House. Venture 12 miles to Maryport to walk on the beach or bike 10 miles along the coast to Allonby on Hadrian s Cycleway. Step into this stone built cottage and feel immediately at home. The accommodation is centred around open plan living, with its lounge/kitchen/diner at the heart of all the activity. Relax in here on the comfortable seating and perhaps enjoy a film on the TV or DVD together. Read your book for a while, discuss tomorrow s plans and listen to some music on the digital radio.
