The lawned garden outside this Bala cottage has a spacious patio that is perfect for alfresco dining, and for enjoying the spectacular views of Mount Arenig. This Bala cottage is surrounded by wonderful, scenic walks including a Celtic castle ruin on the top of Carndochan Mountain, 10 minutes' walk from the house. Nearby Bala offers excellent water sports, including the National White Water Centre, and renowned mountain biking at Coed-y-Brenin is only 12 miles away. A truly lovely Bala cottage, in a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing location yet close to attractions, perfect for an exciting year-round holiday.
The Welsh village of Llanuwchllyn is situated 5 miles from the town of Bala, at the southern end of Bala Lake. The village offers a shop, petrol station and pub serving excellent food, but is best known as the headquarters of the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway, which provides a 9 mile scenic journey along the shores of the famous lake. The market town of Bala is nearby, renowned as a centre for great water-sports including fishing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and white water rafting. The town itself is steeped in history and has a range of interesting shops, inns, restaurants and an historical Town Walk. Surrounded by the wonderful Berwyn mountain range, this is a mecca for walking, cycling and other outdoor activities. An ideal location for touring North and Mid Wales including the stunning North Wales Heritage Coast and all the attractions of Snowdonia National Park.
